I began fighting about 6 years ago after growing up watching the UFC and wondering what hobby I could do to push myself after I got out of the Marine Corps. I had quite a few fights when my career first started out. We would train basically out of books and videos, but since the ACA came to Fargo, my game and record have improved dramatically. It’s great having a real gym to train at and you can’t find the atmosphere that’s there anywhere else around here. The part that drives me the most to fight is definitely the competition side of it. Mano-a-mano. Win or lose, it’s the best feeling in the world to have fans come up after the show and tell you how great of a fight you put on. There’s nothing like it out there! I will get a lot of flack for this, but my favorite fighter and the man that motivated me to fight would be Tito Ortiz. He did a lot for the sport when it was at a low point to bring it up to what it is today. Thanks Tito!
